Children’s Choirs
Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
Psalm 96: 1 – 2 (ESV)
The Bible repeatedly commands God’s people to praise Him in song. In keeping with this command, our children’s choirs seek to both instill in children a desire to worship God through music and equip them with the skills to do so. We strive to teach children why we sing—that music is an important part of what we do as a church. It is a medium not only for praising God, but also for teaching and prayer. Every song our children’s choirs sing either teaches about God—His character, His Word, and His gift of salvation—or addresses God directly in prayer and thanksgiving. Because we believe it is Godly to seek excellence in all things, we also teach the fundamental vocal and musical skills necessary to foster musical growth. It is our hope that our children use these tools to become believers with a lifelong passion for worshipping God in spirit and in truth.
